Over the past several weeks, our print team partnered with Liberty Tire Recycling in Auburndale to develop a series of custom safety-focused apparel graphics. The objective was to create visually engaging designs that reinforce safety culture while resonating with team members on the ground.

Concept Development

Liberty Tire Recycling approached us with initial concepts for their safety teams, and we collaborated closely to translate those ideas into a bold, cohesive visual direction. The first design in the series features a powerful boxing bulldog—symbolizing strength, resilience, and readiness.

Building on previous work, we incorporated an existing icon we had created years ago for the facility. That icon, which has since evolved into a recognizable identifier for the location, is subtly integrated into the design as a tattoo on the bulldog’s shoulder—connecting past branding with a new, more dynamic visual identity.

Design Execution

To bring the concept to life, we utilized AI-assisted illustration techniques to develop the bulldog character. This approach allowed us to transform the original icon into a fully realized figure with depth, personality, and attitude—enhancing its impact as a central design element.

A key challenge was ensuring the artwork translated effectively across multiple garment colors while maintaining visual consistency and print efficiency:

• Black garment: Achieved using a limited 3-color print palette
• Military green garment: Expanded to a 4-color palette to preserve contrast and vibrancy

Careful color separation and ink selection ensured that both versions retained strong detail, depth, and readability.

Results

The final designs deliver a bold, engaging visual that reinforces Liberty’s safety message in a way that is both memorable and motivating. By combining legacy branding elements with modern illustration techniques, we created a design that not only stands out but also strengthens team identity.
